The former drug addict struggled with bad habits for two years and won. For several months, she remained completely sober and showed in the photo how she was able to change during this time. The transformation came out in the spirit of actress Lindsay Lohan, only in reverse order.
Ainsley Loudoun, from the Scottish town of Kilmarnock, started drinking at a very young age and was sure it was OK. However, the addiction to alcohol quickly developed into a cycle of drinking, drugs and attempts to kill yourself, writes the Daily Star.
“I’ve lived in total darkness since I was very young, and I started drinking when I was young. I thought it was normal for children to drink, and for a while it really seemed normal to me. The drinking continued and turned into cocaine use. Since then, my life has just spiraled,” – Ainsley said.
Ainsley often suffered from depression due to alcohol, and at the age of 14 tried to commit suicide. This was the first attempt.
“None of my friends or my family members didn’t want to be around me. No one knew what to do with me. It was a terrible life, ” the girl said. “It got to the point where there was no other way out for me. I was in so much pain, and the booze didn’t help anymore.”
However, in 2018, the 28-year-old decided to change her life. Ainsley realized that she had three options left — prison, death, or recovery. She chose the latter and went to anonymous meetings of cocaine addicts. Since then, the girl is on the road to recovery and has been completely sober for three months.
In October, the Scot showed her photos from two years ago on social networks and surprised Facebook users. In two years of treatment and three months of sobriety, ainsley has changed dramatically, which is impossible not to notice.
Photos have become a real social advertisement about the dangers of drugs.
Subscribers of the girl also noticed how far she has come in two years. I think there are two different people in the photo.
The former addict showed these photos not to get praise, but to show others that you can change your life and end your killing habits.
“I’ve never felt such pure happiness inside me before. There was never a day in my life when I woke up and didn’t want to die. I just want people to know that there is a way out and there is a solution. For someone who was going to die or spend the rest of their life in prison, I know that if I could change, it could work for anyone, ” Ainslie said.
